Rain water Harvesting (Collection)

We have built our own rainwater harvesting plate (collection ). As resort is located in village Awas there is no MIDC water line available. To provide our customer with good quality of water, a tank has been built which could store approx. 30k Ltr. of water which is used only for drinking purpose. In rainy season we firstly clean the tank and let it to dry in sunlight for the whole day. Once the roofs gets clean we join the connection and let the water from roof get collected in the tank. After the tank gets filled we test the sample of water from Authorized gov. laboratory and according to there report the quality of water is fit for drinking purpose . Actually there is no any need of RO,UV filtration necessary but still we use the water through aqua guard present in the dining hall. Dimensions of tank: 20ft x 13ft and 8ft depth.

Bio Gas System

The traditional biogas technology, based on cattle dung. The new biogas plant developed is much more user friendly. Having a capacity of 1000 litres, it uses daily just 2 kg of starchy agrowaste (e.g. rhizomes of banana, canna, nutgrass), non-edible seeds (e.g. Leucaena, Sesbania, tamarind, mango kernels, spoilt grain), oilcake of nonedible oilseeds (Pongamia, Madhuka, castor) or leftover food. Its reaction time is fast, just a couple of days . We try to make maximum use of waste to convert it into useful energy.

Hot water Incinerator

The traditional systems of dumping solid waste causes land pollution and the process of burning solid waste causes air pollution which is not desirable. Solid waste incinerator is the most useful device for managing wastes and it is the desirable technique which can be used for disposing all types of hazardous wastes. At domestic level such as house, the waste such as plastics, clothes, packing materials, cardboard, paper, garden wastes, Coconut wastes, etc. are not disposed properly. At jogalekar cottage we have started it as a pet project and running it successfully in few rooms for Bathing.

Laxmi Chula

At jogalekar cottage we have built the Chula system which produces very less smoke. This Chula is produced with an objective to accommodate two cooking vessels at a time wherein one vessel gets 60% distribution of heat while second one will get 40 % of the heat. A chimney is also a part of the system. Cooking vessels can be placed directly over the stove and biomass can be fed from the bottom .

Solar Electricity

Solar power is the conversion of renewable energy from sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics, indirectly using concentrated solar power, or a combination. Photovoltaic cells convert light into an electric current using the photovoltaic effect.
